The college search and application process is indeed an exciting time. With over 3,000 choices, the sky is truly the limit. Many find having so many choices overwhelming.
Where does one start?  Add to the stress of performing well on the SAT's and many students would rather have the college application process vanish. Next to buying a home, your child's college education will be the second biggest investment you will make. Applying to and selecting the "right" college is difficult; throw in a $30,000 + a year price tag, and it all becomes very daunting. The advice of an educational consultant generally increases the likelihood that an investment in your child's future will be well made.At this time, not only do you need direction, but you often need someone to guide you along the way. Choice doesn't have to be overwhelming; it can be enlightening and maybe even fun. From beginning to end we will assist you with all stages of the college application process to ensure it's a personalized one. We will show you colleges that are a great fit, help you to become better organized, prepare you to write powerful essays in your own voice, maximize your high school experience, and be there to guide you every step of the way. With colleges becoming more expensive, and competition increasing, there is more pressure to make the right decision for college. It can be a real asset to have someone who knows the process and has your best interests in mind.
With our initial visit the critical piece to the time we spend with you is to get to know the student and family. We will interview the student and family separately to gain insight into all of their thoughts about the process and their expectations. The student's high school transcript review is the next important step followed by the PSAT, SAT/ACT scores, student profile, course selection process, and athletic or special talent recruitment protocol.
College Search: After our initial consultation our team will develop a specific action plan, factoring in what the student is looking for in a college (size, location, setting, major, cost, extracurricular activities, athletics, etc.). Once this has been completed we will generate a list of colleges which fit the students profile and begin to differentiate and discuss each individual institutions admissions process. Essays/Personal Statements: Each institution requires an essay, writing sample, personal statement, or some verification of a students writing ability. Our team of specialists will help to develop a students writing strategies to enable them to stand out among the thousands of boilerplate 
Interview Preparation: Many institutions have moved away from student interview based on the significant increase in application volume. This has changed the way we approach each school and their admissions office. In our preparation, we invite each of our students to our corporate offices or one of our satellite locations to be interviewed by an outside professional. This enables us to observe the student in a unique situation to which we are able to develop an interview profile for discussion. With competition continuing to increase, we incorporate a stratedgic interview plan that will assist the student in selling their greatest asset "
Themselves"!!
Application Matrix: Once all appropriate documentation has been completed and submitted, we begin the follow-up process with each specific institution and department to ensure all deadlines have been met and a fair assessment can be made. A students diligence in the timely submission of documentation plays and important in the admission and financial aid decision process.
College Selection: With all the hard work, time, and dedication you and your family have put in to getting to this point, it is finally time to make a decision on your school selection. We will compile our staff and sit and review all of your options as a team. Based on the commitment to the process, this decision is typically an easy one and one that become the stepping stone to future success and happiness!
